I would also love to see them finally getting their asses to work and doing some balance changes to airbikes and gunship (and Geroge), but it seems we will have to wait a bit longer till we finally get those balance changes.
Though I hardly think that flying units destryoed the game, on the contrary. The roster is now more rich and interesting.
They should really reduce their damage against heavy armor and buldings, create a counter weight unit or modify the stats of some units to do better against air and we should be fine.
Certain mechs should have bonus damage against air Units.

I was also disappointed to confirm my suspicions today that the devs got lazy and all the air units look the same between factions. That was probably more disappointing than anything.
