Air Units Ruined the Game
For a game about mechs, the air Units in bloody BIKES can destroy massive land walkers is just bloody insane.
Nerf these air Units to the ground. A group of skybikes and cannon ships is an automatic win or loss wherever you are placed. Don't start with The George admiral ship. When you see that might as well surrender. Absolutely ridiculous.
This was a lovely game and these flying units gutted it.

So you telling me that without balancing the game is not balnaced... what a 900 IQ move... If we finally get balance changes air units will fit into the roster, they just need balance changes and bug fixes
I would also love to see them finally getting their asses to work and doing some balance changes to airbikes and gunship (and Geroge), but it seems we will have to wait a bit longer till we finally get those balance changes.

This should have been balanced before release. That is why there is internal play testing. I refuse to believe that they are that blind to not notice the massive imbalance that these units make.

The game was balanced for SP not for MP. Thats most likely also the case why those imbalances in MP were not seen. Also there were no play testing or similar, the only people who got the game was the press and some streamer short before release. And due to this they now have to check for wrong stuff.

Airbikes need a nerf or two, it is true.

Though I hardly think that flying units destryoed the game, on the contrary. The roster is now more rich and interesting.

Yeah I feel the same, it's just the balancing issues that break it.

They should really reduce their damage against heavy armor and buldings, create a counter weight unit or modify the stats of some units to do better against air and we should be fine.

Airbike spam seems to be the flavor of the week. Hordes of airbikes flying across the map. And the cannon ship which packs a massive punch is just too much.

Certain mechs should have bonus damage against air Units.

Well I am surprised that there are no dedicated AA mechs (the text on Operation Eagle´s Steam page even talks about AA defences for all nations). It is true that the Skybikes changed the metagame a lot, but if each side got a new mech specialised in AA duty, things would get balanced out pretty soon.

i would suggest that airunits should allways be visible on the map for everyone because it is impossible to protect yourself from the insane flanking manouvers you can do otherwise

its like the polani chicken mech all over again only 100 times worse.

Those are pretty weak against other air units, you can easily counter them with two airbikes.

Yeah but economically speaking two air bikes is almost 700 steel and 120 oil. And when the George gets in all those will be POOF in an eyblink.

RUSVIET is in such a hard place right now because of the air mechs. They are just so weak against air. The Serp should have an ability to pin air Units down on the ground or something.

I think the other parts of it are that there is no dedicated anti-air unit/structure. Their answer to AA was that all ground units can now also target air units (thinking of an infantryman trying to shoot down a Fokker DR1). Likewise, Usonia one ups the other factions with one extra air unit and a air unit hero.

I was also disappointed to confirm my suspicions today that the devs got lazy and all the air units look the same between factions. That was probably more disappointing than anything.

i think it's stupid to have a tank shoot air unit i agree inf should be able to but not a damn tank
