I am actually playing the campaign and came to the part where I have for the first time medics now.

They are able to build a medic station and, as far as I understand, all human units should be heald within the range. there is also no other things a medic station could do.

But whenever I send wounded soldiers near the medic station, nothing happens. why?

you have to manually reinforce them which heals them to full it is a button.

thats really weird.... played a lot of similar games and medics/medic stations always automatically heal... why isnt this fixed?

Because it isn't a bug, there isn't any auto healing in this game. outside the bear, and that doesn't heal up lost units in a squad.
