Go on and try microcontrol with 3FPS
but no...
Already did AND on hard with all the DLC I might add
Here here man I want to love this game but damn this AI is really bugging me. I feel like they're using the same AI and balance as their Online and offline skirmish play and that's a BIIIIIIIIIIIIG NONO. You have to keep those programs separate or at least not on medium cause that damages the core gameplay
LOL then good luck in the Saxony missions those are ten times harder. The polonia gameplay did give me pause but once I found out of those tier 2 motor mechs being op in tank mode it was GG
And for Saxony, I assume you're referring to the mission where Wilhelm is chasing you and you have to put up a defense in the hills? Painful but doable. The closest path up to your base right after the bridge mostly sees infantry and maybe some light 'mechs. Easily enough guarded, although you want some artillery or something that can move fast and kill the Erlkönigs that Wilhelm will deploy around the bridge.
The main fight will then be around the ruins on the hilltop, just past the iron mine (or was in my run anyway). Two cannon bunkers up there, some Eisenhans providing fire support, Brunhilde up front tanking and buying time for the rest of the guns to do their work, and a pair of Wotans, one on each side of the hill, providing long-range support.
Medium difficulty, wouldn't call what I did 'cheese'.
No I haven't got to the wilhelm chasing me yet I'm on the first stealth mission and I lost cause that girl got blown up before I could get back to her with the oil. and every mission has the enemy sending light infantry with mechs if you don't turtle before you go then the enemy knows when you leave your base and attack from the weak side. On hard I would expect this on medium I'd expect the AI to fight my main force going into their base, that's my problem. I beat the last Rusviet mission by making the jetpack mech (forgot his name) and jumped over the wall on the west side and attacked while inside so the enemy couldn't get to me.
It's hard to establish a flank when the enemy keeps spamming underground and repair tesla coils around your mines and forces I had to take it step by step to secure even a playable passage.
I haven't gotten to that mission yet however I will heed your advice. The missions I was refering to was both No mans land and the one where you are on the west side and Wlihelm was on the east on the former I had to spam single shot mechs go up to one of the artillery, back, heal up, defend, go up to the next one, back, heal, defend, the while trying to cover both east and west flank sides cause OIL! and the latter had to get 6 bunkers fully upgraded before spaming mech once again cause every single time I left with a reasonable force they brought everything they had on the right and left passages in the and took out my oil and iron mines plus my headquaters
I want to like it too, and I do. But it's hard to do when enemies instead of climbing out of hopes just APPEAR
I meant it was on those I didn't know what the hardest one was so I just left it on hard. No need for your aggression. It took so damn long but killing ulkire and kyres was defeated mind you.
Well as polandia yeah since the artillery is their bread and butter... actually come to think of it the Rusviets have that bs Artillery mech too...hmmm.
