The final Rusviet campaign mission (spoilers, as you may expect)
God, just the sheer *wall* of Factory exo-suits backed by their ludicrously superior 'mechs.. It took me three waves of five of the heaviest 'mech available to finally break through and even the last wave was nearly battered to death by the time it breached the gates.

And don't get me started on the tunnels spitting out reinforcements, including 3-4 Factory mechs per wave, all over the map. Took a ton of pop cap to seal them with bunkers.

Enjoy the view, this was just part of the sheer horde that's stationed to guard the gates while the tunnels spew monstrously powerful attack waves. https://i.imgur.com/fFm92zS.png

Oh god... it wasn't just me was it?

How did you seal those tunnels? Bunkers didn't seem to cut it for me, they just get flanked and smashed by spider swarms.

I've been trying to find a good way to kill the mech's quickly too... this mission hurts my soul.

Three bunkers each surrounding the tunnels and preferably covering eachother at least a little. All with cannons (because otherwise when the tunnel feels like spitting the Factory medium 'mechs, they'll ruin everything real fast, and they are reasonably good at blasting spiders too). MG squad in one bunker to further help tear into the spiders.

It took a good while to establish due to the sheer amount of iron needed, but between that and having a bunker + Grodny (I think that was the name at least, it's late at night and my brain is starting to shut down, you know the ones with the big cannon on the arm and a few MG's on the hull) on one bridge, two Grodnies on the middle bridge and pushing through with another 5 + the hero units from the far side with the land crossing, I finally broke through by around the third time I assaulted them like that. Since thankfully the exo-suit swarm protecting the gates doesn't replenish and Grodnies can usually take down quite a few before eventually being swarmed, thanks to their superior range.

Oh, and if all else fails.. Bait with an engineer. In my run, the Factory units never failed to chase engineers the way I'd chase an ice cream truck - which is to say relatively slowly but with determination that would put The Terminator to shame, and ignoring everything else.

Gotcha. Thanks! Maybe you should rest up after your experiences with the Hordes of Tesla.

I was tearing my hair out with this mission myself. One thing I learned that helped me finally beat it is that on both of the bridges there's a gate on the enemy side that you can close. That will permanently close that bridge off until you open it yourself. Enemies and mechs do NOT break through them. They're indestructable. As soon as I found that out I immediately shut both of them (the middle one you need to use Janek or whatever his name is because a tesla tower is RIGHT THERE). Once you do that, their attacks go all in on the right side (save for the tunnel BS of course - there should have been some way to seal them or close them off if you ask me). That side will be hit VERY HARD but it means you can focus any forces not on tunnel duty there. I also did the same thing, five of the Gorodna-whatevers just forming a giant walking wall of steel. Very frustrating mission, but at least I finished it.
