I might be way off but the way it sounds to me, it'll be the base building of C&C with the tactical squad-based gameplay of COH.
So yeah, 'more tactical battles and map domination with points' is spot on. The capture points around the map are oil pumps and automated iron mines -- so think CoH's fuel and munitions points, but get rid of manpower as a currency and replace it with just iron and oil.
Trying to cater both audience never works, this is proven by history. So be clear on your vision and planning and do not promote it if this is going to be CoH-like, which is the case, then call it like that, RTT. And you will have a more satisfied and happy audience in the end but definitely not if you insist on believing that you can achieve your goal on both ends.
I took a quick look, if this is "shady", "not cool" and "false advertising" and discovered that Company of Heroes does not mention "RTT" on it's Steam page. It even has a "RTS" Tag.
If you feel like this one should be labelled "RTT", then feel free to add a user tag to Iron Harvest on it's Store Page (and Company of Heroes while you're at it) :)
....easily see handshakes with Activision in this games future
the RTS is well...sad to say, But to be honest, in the eye of IT'S beholder to the majority compared...to where this could have
gone
if it would of been kept within the walls of its concept art 1st person where it was crowd funded from which i think is why it went $1.2M or such
i think you could have tripled or even quad that value easily
i was VERY excited when i saw the concept art as It really embodied true mechanical horror
and quite close with war of the worlds and i have played a game like that, but the was a sheer lack of detail throughout in contrast to your artwork both on game and off on paper
simply put:
you had the thorough picture however i felt that making it an rts was well...i was going to buy this...but i cant...EA killed Our RTS, C&C...with another notorious 4 of death
