Are the servers dead?

Recently reinstalled the game and it seems incapable of loading my online profile. Did this game just get completely abandoned in regards to support? If so, that's a damn shame. I love the art style and always felt it was a shame I never had anyone to play it with.

In Jan 2025 it appears that this game is dead. a shame as I also enjoyed playing it before and was thinking of getting a group of friends to play this. Seems to me they just made too many blunders and alienated (pun there) their core players thus killing what little support there was left. I'm not surprised that the servers were shut down.

It's a shame we can't just client hosted servers for this game so we wouldn't have to rely on a company to maintain servers for us to continue playing the game together.

That's too bad. This game was a LOT of fun when it was first released as a multiplayer only game. I think the devs messed up by releasing the single player part AFTER the multiplayer part since many players don't like single player only games. Overall there were a lot of great ideas in this game and a lot of wasted opportunities on the part of the developers
