Tzar 2 or a remaster would flop. Accept it.
But Loria is getting a successor, Loria 2 is under way.
Which means that even though what you say is true about cult classics, absolute good games get their attention and fanbase nevertheless.
I'll buy loria 2, and will buy tsar 2 or rising kingdoms 2 if such ever get released, because,
I'm a pure RTS fan, and yes I love AOE 2, I love starcraft 1, but I DONT love starcraft 2 and warcraft remastered and I reckon there's a lot of ppl just like me
Just because other games get remasters, or that you would buy them, does not mean anything in the grand scheme of things. I would buy a Tzar Remaster in a heartbeat as well. But I know very well that other people would not. And my money is on the fact that Loria 2 will fail as well if it will be a classic RTS.
Those types of games are simply not popular anymore. There is no market for them. Every single classic RTS released in the past couple of years have either flopped or is barely handing on. That's the reality of the situation. The only way for a remaster or a sequel to a classic RTS game to succeed is to be a really big and recognizable franchise. Tzar is not it. Loria is not as well.
