So I just got this ending and I had 2 things that really bothered me.

1: Why does Kageri get plastic Surgery to look like Yuki? I can't see what this accomplishes, as well as the fact that Kageri is clearly completely unstable and there's no way she'd be able to act like Yuki to infiltrate the group of friends.

2: We see that when the russians change the past Reading Steiner activates and Okabe experiences the new present for a month. So whats the deal with Suzuha and Mayurii going back to the past and Reading Steiner doesn't activate? Does that mean whatever they go back and do in the past has no effect what so ever on the world line? The Video Message from the future specifically says they found another way to Steins Gate but we don't see Reading Steiner activate and take him there.

1. In that worldline, I believe nobody knew what Yuki was really like because the real she had been in student exchange in another country for two years at that point. Therefore, it shouldn't matter if her behavior matched the real Yuki's. And I think Kagari was only unstable when she heard Leskinen's "voice of God" or when Mommy-Mayuri was in danger.

2. True. I think the only reason it doesn't activate is so that we can see the aftermath in that worldline. Sometimes (often) logic is sacrificed in favor of drama. Truly realistic stories tend not to be very enjoyable.
