Xbox One controller

I am having issues using an Xbox one controller. The menu works but I can't click on the checkbox to actually exit the game.

Do you by any chance mean that you can't see the mouse pointer so you can select the checkbox to exit the game? If that's the case, then every time you see the "checkbox" and "X" buttons you can just press A or B on the controller. A is for yes/checkbox and B is for no/back/X.

Correct and when I press A it exits the game back to Big Picture mode and says launching the the game loads again. However, the mouse does work to exit.
