I would say wait for a good sale before getting it. Don't pay full price. You can unlock most of the pre-order bonuses through gameplay (all you got were just 3 Dynasty Warriors-themed Gundams and 3 other Gundams right away)
anyway, for a game you should no buy, to explain why is totally a waste of time.
Kiiiiinda? But not exactly. it's sort of a light 3D beat 'em up/character action kind of thing, with RPG elements.
Like my go to description is it's kind of like a level of complexity up from a lego game. there's combos and juggling and big flashy special attacks but you're not allocating skill points or choosing between talent trees. each unit has like four abilities and that's all they get. You get a few slots for passive upgrade equipment that CAN be pretty interesting but mostly aren't.
It's genuinely pretty fun, but it's still really, really overpriced for what it is, even with a discount. Best if you can bully a friend or two into playing it with you. If it ever gets a sequel that'll probably be pretty legit.
