Similar to the battle games on PSP?

The combat and mission style really reminds me of the games on PSP, I'm guessing it's very similar but SD?

From what i gather it a reboot of the gundam battle series from the psp but in SD but we will need to wait and see,since pc don,t get a damn demo to test it out,you need to try it on ps4/ps5/switch/xbox or watch vid of it.

For me gundam battle series from psp is better since thet got 226 suits but i don't think this game will have more then 60 to 70 Ms max but that my point of view

Literally the same developers, ArtDink, and from what I've heard, that's basically what it is - gameplay similar to ArtDink's previous Gundam efforts, with an SD art style and a new, original plot.

Plotwise, rumour has it that the plot connects to the SD Gundam G Generation series, which is why they're SD, have plot devices relating to timeline distortion and correction, and a new original Gundam which seems to be looking to continue the Phoenix Gundam lineage - not to mention, the SDGBA Twitter is currently teasing the introduction of Phoenix Gundam itself as a playable unit.

As Shiro mentioned, it's literally the same developers that made the Japan-only Gundam Battle games.

Yep, Gundam Battle/Gundam Assault Survive is what it's based on, recognized the studio instantly and remembered loving those games after seeing the gameplay being similar... so pretty safe buy in my Opinion.
