It regenerates quite fast against the damage you'll deal to it. You either need a lot of parts that increases I-Field damage or you need to run 2 other partners with a lot of strong Beam attacks like a Wing Zero. You can't break it reliably if you're doing it alone or if your damage types are too mixed.

I would just abandon the mission immediately when I was using all Beam if my Wing Zero and Quebeley partner both died while grinding the last boss.

I see so is literally pointless to use beam against hard mode bosses, damn... I tot max out F91 was a good idea ):

I wouldn't say its pointless to use beam, because after the shield is broken, you can do a lot of damage to the MA (the big robots for clarification). Not every MA has the i-field either, so you just have to get better parts and raise your efficiency with blasting them while avoiding their attacks. I've been in multiple teams that have ripped i-fields to shreds, so pretty sure you can find a way to do the same.

If you're referring to the enemy MS as bosses though (which I feel like you are since you said blue bar instead of purple), easiest thing to do for them is wait till they commit to an attack. Any attack they do will lower their super armor shield, then just use one of your subs to take it the rest of the way and break them. You do gotta look for the gaps to do so, since some of them only lower their armor enough between multiple swings. Alternatively, if you can counter a melee hit from them, that instantly breaks their shield.

I use F91 and Norn on Beam resillient bosses often, just chip away at it(I rely on my default main ranged attack the most, conserving shots and spacing them out between Sub weapon cooldowns), and once it's down it stays down for a while, at least half of their hp bars worth of damage/time. Beam barrier damage + parts and the Pilot passive skill that increases damage to l-barriers helps. Obviously beam using partners helps as well but with just parts/the pilot skill and some patience it works just fine on Hard Mode.

uh full beam paper is the way to go, is the most broken right now. A full beam/reload setup banshee or full beam/double ammo hi-nu will break that i-field before the melees can even get to it...

I use beam against hard mode bosses regardless. I have chips that give +use limit to subweapons so I have more ammo to spam with. As a sharpshooter it's not that bad and personally I like to just break the I-Field and do extra damage with beam. But yea I'd use Piercer skill to help if you don't have ideal parts/chips yet but once you get those nice chips.. I-field isn't an issue anymore.

What is full beam that you mentioned? Is it a part?

You can break Shield if you have your unit made for Ranged attacks and they are all/mostly beam, some Mobile Suits are a mix of Beam Damage and Ranged so it will take time, full beam it will be easier because everything is going to the shield.

If you have Piercer you can break or almost break their Beam Shield in 2 Volleys, you can also get parts that do more damage to anti-beam barriers.

Is a setup on certain pure damage type MS with all attacks are beams, or atleast 4 out of 5 are beams then throw in 4 parts with beam damage alot with the main stats. Which is why paper/sharpshooters are so broken right now, you can stack a single damage type up to around 100%+ another 40-50% main/sub weapon attack + 600-700 range attack then along with reload or use limit depends on which suit to make literially unlimited ammo. Works especially insane with Banshee Norn and Hi-Nu and also other full beam range MS.
