Both are epic, would compete with GA right now.
How is reborn compared to 3? A friend of mine did buy 3 many years ago and I liked it, but it seems that reborn is preferred due to lack of cel-shading.
It was definitely less stylistic than it's predecessors, for sure. Tons of fun, soaked hours between playing solo and playing with a friend of mine on both the JP and western release. The UI was easy enough for me to understand even in Japanese.
It's also funny since the DLC for the game was the Qan [T] and the Full Armor Unicorn. The interesting part about that is, the DLC released BEFORE episode 7 of UC had it's theatrical release, so you got to see the Full Armor Unicorn/Awakened Unicorn's abilities before the movie/episode was even out in Japan lol
I specifically remember the GPO3 and 00 Raiser being personal favorites. The 00 Raiser had a room-clear sweep as it's special (Raiser Sword) and the GP03 Stamen's Mega Launcher was a one-shot kill for bosses even on the hardest difficulty lol. The Freedom was fun, too. Part of his standard melee string was him flipping upside-down to shoot his launchers. Every main suit was unique. The mass-production suits were not really given as much love in that sense.
And of course, being able to swap BGM is a personal favorite feature. Booting up the game to it's start menu to Aimer's rendition of EGO by Hiroyuki Sawano/Kobayashi Mika was always great.
Awesome, I should play it someday. So the FAU goes into awakened mode even on reborn as well? Because that would be sick. FAU has been my favorite so far on battle alliance because it changes into infighter, lol.
It's the unit's special, similar to this game. It gains the shield funnels and it's entire moveset changes and lasts the entire mission. It's a permanent change once you trigger the special.
MAAAAN that's awesome! XD

QFT! No truer words.
I'm literally at the point where I'm using EX Mission 05 solo running it with different suits and builds to test just how adaptable they are because holy hell is the Gouf/Gouf Custom team-up harder than any other boss in the game if you don't have your guard counters on point.
So far, FA Unicorn, 00 Raiser, Exia Repair II, Lupus Rex, and nearly the Unicorn (Slipped up on the easiest damn part against Sinanju and Geara Zulu and failed lol) have done it for me. Pretty sure I can run it with any in-fighter at this point. I feel like Sharpshooters here definitely have it the hardest. And I don't mean the weird hybrids that shouldn't even be Sharpshooters like Hi-Nu/GP03/F91.
Literally the same here, running ex mission 05 for the parts, thankfully both gouf aren't hard to counter, provided they don't gank you to death XD.
