Honestly i was not big on it at first either but after playing some of the strat rpgs It grew on me.
Absolute gold, a GenXer is lecturing me on "high culture." I was born when there was a Soviet Union -- before who would ever become a weeb got more than Voltron, Ronin Warriors, and Macross in the West.
Star Wars is not worth saving so no use lobbying the rights holders and developers about that. This IP is another matter.
I mean, even if it's been around awhile I grew up watching Mobile Fighter G everyday after school. I played all the Dynasty Warriors gundam games and I've been looking to scratch that itch ever since(2006-2007? I think). Some of my favorite anime are mech based and they're brutal, playing as a chibi just makes me not want to play it. I want a high realism, high gore, and advanced mechanics gundam game, guess I just gotta keep waiting.
Yeah, but starwars regularly gets normal titles, all the time. Gundam hasn't had a new game in like 15 years.
What about:
G Generation Genesis (2016)
G Generation Cross Rays (2019)
Battle Operation 2 (2018)
Battle Operation: Code Fairy (2021)
More SD, a pvp game, gross and a PS5 exclusive; I don't play console.
