No I hate english dubs, voices and emotions do not match most of the time, even the meaning changes sometimes. In worse case for political or DEI reasons. I do wish the translations were just that though, instead of localization, meanings change even in this game. Its easy to catch if you listen to the JP and read the EN at the same time.

This game runs on like 25 years worth of stock dialogue from dozens of Japanese voice actors. Meanwhile the Gundam animes' various dubs have voice actors from all over North America and beyond, some of which are retired, and many characters have been recast. There was never a chance in hell of this game, or any SD or EXVS game getting dubbed.

This the emotion is lost 99% of the time in dubs and sadly thats the case with almost all the english dubs of the gundam series.

FFVII remake's dub is pretty much a re-write and I honestly have no idea how they even allowed it in the first place... biggs and wedge have literally been re-wrote into brain dead zombies repeating lines, I mean I know they aren't the top-liner characters but come'on.

When you know Final Fantasy fans will buy anything similar to how Apple's hardcore fans will buy even a $1,000 monitor stand then you know you you that you can cut corners.

...and that 1k monitor stand isn't a joke as its something Apple literally did and its nothing but a piece of metal worth maybe a couple dollars.

I would love a Dub and I don't get how those who vouch against it. I don't know Japanese and I would love to pay attention to the story, but I'm too busy not dying to read the text.

as for "emotion being lost in dubs".. they are overacting like crazy to begin with! i got shot in the leg and didnt scream HALF as much as the actors do in anime.

Well that's what you get for having no taste and watching Black Clover, MOST anime voice actors won't SHOUT! EVERY! SINGLE! LINE! for 170 Episodes straight.

Forget missing "Emotion" half of the hack job official dubs out there barely covey the core meaning of a sentence forget "missing nuance". I've seen a Japanese Diet Member (Essentially a Congressman) go from "Ladys and Gentlmen" in English on the Japanese soundtrack to "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, Bros, and Non-Binary Hos" in the Official Dub, not kidding or exaggerating AT ALL that is actually literally the exact line from the dub.

at this point, they'd have to recast characters from a number of shows, because the Gundam dubbing studios have changed to NYAV Post. it would probably end up making dub fans nostalgic for the toonami era bothered in the same way as the VA changes for the DWG games back in the day; so not much return on investment.

Yeah, this game just doesn't really work with Japanese VA + Subs, there's no time to read the subs during battle, so the vast majority of the story is lost.

If they didn't want to dub the game, they should have kept the talking to pre-fight cutscenes or something, where you'd have time to read it.
