Customization? Unique feeling suits? Chugging?
How good is the customization in this game? Is every suit just the suit forever, or can you change attributes around? Can you change weapons around? Make it more defensively focused, more speed focused? More damage focused? So far I've only seen "upgrading" from reviews and game information. Not customization.

How different does each suit feel? I know the game has a repetitious nature, but do any of the suits aside from the melee vs ranged types feel different? Are some larger and bulkier, but slower? Are some squishier but faster? Do some suits have pure advantages and no disadvantages (rhetorical question of course the Gundam models are overall broken)?

One last thing; I've seen lots of comments about poor PC optimization. I usually shrug it off since I upgraded my rig but with a game like this it would 100% ruin it for me with the repetitious nature. Does it run like ass at certain parts (Cutscenes, specific animations, loading in or out of areas), or are there overall performance issues (In gameplay or all of the above)?

I would ask how long the game is but I'm sure they made it 20-30+ hours with the simple mission design. Still good enough for me as long as there's some customization options. That's my #1 thing at the end of the day.

This isn't the Gundam Breaker series where you can customise each part.

You upgrade the stats of the MS, give skills to the pilots and that's it I think.

I never had any optimization issues but the MS are completely different in how they play, Dom melee and Barbatos melee is night and day in how much smoother the Dom's is while Barbatos is slower and does a lot of damage for example. The MS come as is, but you can upgrade their stats and give them parts to either make up for their weaknesses or make their strengths stronger

Skills to pilots? How deep are they? Are they just a simple stat boost?

Nice I like different melee speed. +1

On the aspect of customization, from what I've seen so far, there isn't anything that will change a major aspect of a suit's core design. You can't change the way the suit functions with it's main, melee and 2 subweapons.

You have Equip Parts that usually give you stats but there is an Auto-Block part so there might be more effects like that further into the game that makes some changes to gameplay beyond numbers.
You also have Pilot skills that affect how fast you can cancel into a Block, combo extension (Unsure what this actually does, I haven't tried it yet) or affect more stat related stuff like reducing Boost usage so it will probably make an impact to how far you can push a suit.

But if you're looking at customization from the perspective of specializing something to your own personal role, you probably won't get that here. The core "customization" is picking the suit itself. You can't have a mid-range harasser Exia and you can't have a melee powerhouse Seravee because of weapon choices. You can at best, make the Exia's main range weapon deal a bit more damage.

I see I see. Things like auto block parts and combo extension skills are more than what I expected lol
