I only perform said tactic when I’m really close to the enemy within range of the PDL. Mine has a maximum range of 24 Gm. At that range, I wouldn’t want the torpedo missing and then target me. I know that you can blow them up. But I in a Youtube video where a guy tried to disable one of his own torpedoes, that was tracking him, and accidentally disabled the link.
It’s a PSL 10X and it’s made by Pritchard. It’s accuracy is “good” and its reload speed is “medium”. Its range is 24Gm. According to a wiki, it has the best range. Least likely to get damaged from a torpedo explosion, if the PDL detonates the torpedo at maximum range.
Wait! A PDL is effective in asteroid belts? How effective? Like, if you have a REALLY good PDL can you fly freely through them?
Well, good to know because I just discovered a space station that is surrounded by asteroids. Half the impacts is still better than ALL the impacts!
