Hi Folks,

I made a spreadsheet of all Modules and Components you can find in game. This data can help you plan your ship loadout.

@Devs - I noticed that PDS and CM modules don't have damage thresholds, does that mean they are indestructible?

Correct, Yaar.

PDS and CMs are 'sub-modules' which sit inside the weapons module. Your weapons module goes down and you lose all three systems at once.

Very cool! Is there also a list with all ships available? Do we have a list of where you can by which ships and modules?

Great work Yaar! Are you planning to do one for Commodities? I'm not sure how much price fluctuates at stations, or if the cargo and it's prices changes per new game. But it would be nice to be able to track prices to find decent trade routes either way.

Wow! That's a thorough bit of work.

I have been adding much of the same information to the wiki at https://oiswiki.sysadninjas.net/wiki/Category:Modules . Would you mind if I add some/all of your data to it?

Cool. We are getting closer :) Now, it would be awesome if you could also add

a) Ships
b) Locations where those things can be found (is this possible at all?)

Edit: I can see that ships are already in.

Sure, use my spreadsheets however you want.

It's not that much work tbh - I wrote some python to parse game files and generate the spreadsheet.

As for locations - all commodities, ships, etc. are defined in the game files same way as modules and components. I have something more or less working already, but there are one or two bits of data I don't understand (stuff related to buy/sell price). I wanted to do a proper trade finder before publishing anything, but might stop short of that and just post commodity data for each station.

Hey Yaar, since the game files have changed a bit over the last rework in this version, would you mind sharing the python script with us, or at least generating a new spreadsheet please? That would be very much appreciated!
