How do I participate in Fish Racing?

I don't think it's an actual race, it was there just for the quest. Don't know if we will see those goblins again with their races or not.

Sorry for not being clear. I meant the festival on the calendar. It's on 27th of the first month.

Talk to Papa Pia (the penguin father). I found him at the camping area.

Think the race is not fully developed yet.
I could only press the spacebar button during the race to dash.
the stats of my fish were generally similar too.
hard to tell if they were the original stats, or if its a temporary fix.
the stats at the fish farm are also not helpful at the moment..

insult to injury, have a save where I lost rabbitray with no way to get another. Fish race came up and selected one of my medium size fish... When race starts it displays me as a rabbitray.... the hell game.

you can Start Event With NPC name PIA in TOWN at KIOSK AREA at 12:40 p.m.

You can cheese the race and win almost 100% of the time with any fish. Just tap space bar a few times so that your stamina constantly stays at the same rough number. It's like the boost lasts a moment after you let go, so by tapping, you're nearly always in boost speed. You don't get anything from it, but it's still an amusing time waster.
