How to: find coal, split stacks etc.?

I can't tell if I'm an idiot or if the game just doesn't explain things well, but I'm lost.

How do I split inventory stacks? I've gone through every button I can think of that would make this happen (shift, right click, tab, ctrl, etc.) and it's just not working..? How?

Where do you get coal from?

How to plant things underwater? My regular hoe doesn't work underwater even though there is a square on the ground.

How to put fish into my pond..?
-- SOLVED: Throw with the right mouse button, but if they're in the wrong size pond for their type, it'll just pop back into your inventory. No idea how to tell which fish go where.

How do I mine? The miner guy mentioned going down into the mines but I can't find a mine anyplace.
-- SOLVED: Only in combat zones, in caves, find a mining node.

And lastly, is there a way to access the settings menu (for volume etc.) while in the game, or is that just for the main menu? Hitting esc just asks me if I want to quit or not.
-- SOLVED: It's in your char menu, hit "I" and find it in the tab.

There's another thread on fishing (https://steamcommunity.com/app/823950/discussions/0/1637543304832791963/ Idk why this liknk was removed... it's to a discussion post on fishing in this forum) which I guess you can only do in the combat zone? Even though there are places in town set up to be fishing docks and an entire "angler area"?

Mining is only done in mining nodes what you find in caves (so far I found them in caves at least) usually gives you some minerals.
Splitting stacks - want to know myself.
Settings tab is in the character screen - press "I" and it's the last left most option in the left corner.

HMM. So mining is like fishing... you can only do it in the combat zone. Darn. I was hoping for some chill mining without having to fight. (Fighting is HARD in this game... everything is so much stronger than me and my pet does nothing but die)

The only way I've figured out how to split stacks is to hold the item I want to split, and just throw however many I want to split onto the ground. Move the item from your hotbar to your inventory, then pick up the floor items and they move, split, into your hotbar.
Be nice if there were an actual option to do so though, unless I've missed it.

I found out how to plant underwater but have my next issue.

You use the shovel to make the underwater plantable. The issue then is that fish keep eating my plants so I can't reap any.

If anyone can figure this out let me know.

When fish are eating your plants, go up to the spot with empty hands and hit F (or whatever the activation key is). It will scare the fish away.



To put fish into your pond, hold the fish in your hands and right click to throw them into the water!

I did that. I threw them in and it just said "Obtained Rockgar" or whatever that fish is called. It just popped back into my hands.

Thank you for how to scare away fish!!! I figured out the shovel eventually but couldn't find a tool to shoo fish away lol.

So there are two ponds. Small fish in the small pond, medium in the other. I haven't found any large fish yet.

HUH. Where does the fish say on it that it's medium or small...? How do you know?

When I caught them they say as part of its stats. Easier yet to try throwing it in a pool. if it ain't one it should be the other.

Can buy coal from the mining guy. havnt found it in the wild yet

For fish size, if you go to your inventory and click the book tab then on the left hand side click the fish tab you can check each fish in there.

Mining Guy in the Industrial Area (lower left path from square) sells Coal. Literally the only way to get it.

You can mine some on the second main island

How do you complete the guardian quest? i save the lady in the temple and she gave me a key, but i'm unable to find the other 2 keys? The rotating pillars are annoying to figure out too lol
