The Third Road Firestaff (?)

Another great level - well done...the one item I couldn't figure out how to reach is what I think is a firestaff in the SE corner of the level that is multi-tiered (stairs between 3 sub-levels).

When you first enter this "multi-tiered" room from the north (after solving a white ball / gate puzzle) and turn left the staff is 3 squares away and is blocked by a fence to the south of it.

It looks like there's a ladder leading up to it from the opposite side but I have no idea how to reach that ladder - looked for switches and breakable walls throughout the area.

throw a stone onto a plate right near it,I think its the fire sword

Thanks T-Bone - I'll look around for more plates but I thought I accounted for them all.

And what would that do? Open a door to get to the ladder that leads to it from the back?

Never mind, I found it...yep, a plate that I missed above a cage (hiding in the dark).

Great,hey if you find out how to make a blue crystal appear above the hole in the floor at the start of the level let me know

You mean a portal? That's required to open up the "third road", I believe, and leave the level.

I'm pretty sure the key is to open the doors on both the east and west side by traversing the areas on both the east and west side that lead to opening those doors.

ya the developer said you have to open both wooden doors to activate the portal above the hole in the floor at beginning of the level.which i did but still nothing has changed.

I am stuck at the end of the third road. I've seen some videos and I am at the point where you open a gate, and there is another closed gate right in front of it. I just have not found where/how to open that other gate. It is at the center of the map.
My party is lvl 30. I am getting 60,000 exp points per kill. All my characters are maxed in their skills. All have all their 30 available spells/skills. So all I can do is increase their stats. Its getting kinda boring! :(

You need to solve the two riddles in the south to open the gates to the exit.
