Do you not get stutter or jitter at all? 50% of the time my guy's hand shakes like he's on coke. Almost unplayable for me. Which HMD are you using? I have the exact same CPU and a 1070 and a Rift S. This happens in the museum and the first few levels. Haven't played more cause I want to experience the game with minimal performance issues if possible.
And to answer OP's question: based on my own experience I would not recommend playing the game with the 3gb version of 1060, but you can refund before the 2 hour mark, so it's worth a shot, I guess?

Cause i'm not falling for the Nvidia RTX meme. The 1060 plays everything I want just fine (excluding some vr titles.) I'm waiting to see whats coming after the rtx lineup.
