is GTX 1060 3gb good enough for this game?

Well I can tell you that my gtx 1060 6gig works just fine... But 3gig I don't know.

I'd try it and if it is too demanding on your gpu, return it quickly.

I have a Ryzen 5 2600 cpu btw

It'll be A-Okay, I'm on a laptop 1050 TI, they really overblew what the game's requirements are. Unless my 32 GB RAM is magic enough to pic up that slack, along with my under 3 GHZ i7

Do you not get stutter or jitter at all? 50% of the time my guy's hand shakes like he's on coke. Almost unplayable for me. Which HMD are you using? I have the exact same CPU and a 1070 and a Rift S. This happens in the museum and the first few levels. Haven't played more cause I want to experience the game with minimal performance issues if possible.

And to answer OP's question: based on my own experience I would not recommend playing the game with the 3gb version of 1060, but you can refund before the 2 hour mark, so it's worth a shot, I guess?

I’m managing okay with a GTX970 so far, the odd stutter but totally playable otherwise.

I have everything set to lowest possible, still have some issues in big open areas / with gun smoke. setting res to 80 percent helps me.

Question, why instead of buying a better gpu you bought an expensive cpu?

Cause i'm not falling for the Nvidia RTX meme. The 1060 plays everything I want just fine (excluding some vr titles.) I'm waiting to see whats coming after the rtx lineup.
