what are the secret snow globe looking things you can find? sorry if it's obvious

I have not played the game that much, cause I don't have alot of playtime I can do at once so being unable to save and having to redo the whole level if you have to stop is annoying. But, on the Streets level when you get to the end where you jump on that platform on the tracks and push the button and it throws you over the street and a wall, if you jump over the edge of the building where the track is (i fell trying to look over cause I missed the button on the platform and was confused) LOL but in one of the alleys down on the street is a boneworks box, and there is a globe in it, with something inside that looks like a saw blade, or a shield with spikes around it.. and I ended up keeping it and throwing it in the thing that lets you keep items, sorry forgot the name atm. but, what are these things? as of right now I don't have sandbox unlocked, so i'm thinking it may be something you can use in sandbox mode? Just curious what these things are, and where/how to use them

The snow globes are NPC's that you can unlock for sandbox if you throw the globe into the reclamation bin and complete the level.

there are the npc pills and the blue bouncy balls with props inside. both can be thrown into reclamation bins to unlock them for sandbox.
