Jump pads, healing grenades, and shield grenades are a must. Always go to the pink container if you go to Containers.
Red dot sights are OP. Gaussbow forever. Don't Go to Area 64. Water surf. Fast barrel makes bullets go faster and have less droop. Always keep at least one jump blessing. Relax is OP. Healing barrel heals the people you shoot, so don't shoot the enemy with it. Put healing barrel on a third weapon slot pistol. Abandon sniping, embrace crossbow. Blunderbuss is ineffective. Compensator lowers spread and recoil. Prioritize knockback or/and implosion grenades over all but the other grenades I mentioned.
When faced with certain death, and no teammates around you, throw a dynamite where you are about to die. (Take them out with you.)
Don't run off by yourself when you are in a team, it is important that everyone is together.
Drop hot, always go where the players are. Play fast, play aggressive, always be moving in a fight. This is how you get better, die over and over and over on repeat until you don't. This is how every good player got good at TABG. Playing passively will get you nowhere.
As for weapons, most of TABG is pretty balanced. Besides for a few outliers that are kinda strong and some that are obviously useless (MGL and Missile Launcher being terrible). You just want to go with what feels best to you personally, and match your loadout with whatever blessings compliment those guns best or where you struggle. But if you want to "get good" there is specific loadouts and playstyles that will get you there the fastest over time.
