did they add skill based matchmaking or are people just getting better
iv'e played this game for about half a year now and all the sudden I feel like people are getting way better, and is teaming against the rules I have no clue

The spike in skill was instant and came around the same time they started doing the betas. The games performance got a lot better so people are actually aiming with decent fps now. However, the biggest change in "skill" came from blessings. Blessings make terrible players amazing and decent players near unkillable. Cant control the guns spray? 1 common mastery and a compensator make almost any gun laser accurate, make it a rare mastery and any automatic gun is a full auto sniper. Throw a spray blessing into the mix and now you've got hundreds of perfect accuracy bullets heading your way in a few seconds. Cant find those blessings just pick up an m16 or if you're really lucky a beam-AR, weapons that already shoot insanely fast with near perfect accuracy.

Personally my biggest gripe is any blessing that adds health or healing mid combat, not to mention healing grenades/healing aura/healing barrel. You can be the worst player on the planet but stack enough health/vampires/recycling and you can fight a full team of 4 without even dropping from full hp for more than a half a second. One match I only had a legendary recycling with hardballers and all I had to do was shoot once, reload, heal 35 health. Considering the reload takes maybe .3 seconds I was able to tank a minigun shooting at me point blank range without dying by just spamming reload. Not to mention that it turns some gunfights into this awkward slog of 2 people shooting each other for 5-10 seconds straight before someone can out dps the healing. Nothing more fun than 2 people reloading at each other repeatedly >.>

Lastly teaming is afaik against the rules (if not it should be) but unfortunately that won't stop people from doing it and a LOT of people have been doing it lately. Also doesn't help that there isn't a report feature in game.

TLDR: the skill, excluding the better aim from increased performance, is an illusion caused by completely unbalanced blessing/weapons/items making people seem a lot better than they actually are.

I disagree with your opionion, as first of all, blessings have been added to replace armor, which in itself was already unbalanced as you just needed to get lucky with finding the better armor. I remember playing the original version and losing a lot of gunfights simply because my armor was worse than the enemy's armor. This is exactly the same as blessings, as the person with the better loot wins. However, blessings can very well be countered, as most of them have some sort of cooldown. (e.g. blessing of dash, storm call, words of justice, battlecry, shield, etc.)

Secondly, your claim that "You only had a legendary recycling with hardballers and all I had to do was shoot once, reload, heal 35 health." is false, as the blessing of recycling's healing is based off the percentage of the magazine reloaded. I've attempted this in the shooting range with an M1911, which also has a magazine size of 7 rounds, and the amount of health gained is exactly 15.

In conclusion, your opinion is heavily biased off the fact that you believe that blessings are inherintly unbalanced. However, as stated in my first argument, armor was also inherintly unbalanced, as they are both based off luck while looting in the game itself.

That's

It's because of the new blessing mechanics. That, and then bullets are huge now.

Mc_meiler I'm not saying they need to bring armor back I didn't even mention armor nor do I want it back. If you want to bring up armor though OG tabg armor did very little and was very common. With the tier 4 armor/helmets reducing damage by 30-40% iirc to respective areas while tier 4 armor also near doubled your hitbox size which with blessing I've had multiple games with over 200 hp which is essentially having 50% damage reduction in the form of bloated hp while only being slightly larger. Which the only time I ever see enemy players any larger is when they have curse of the big, I've fought straight meat shield players, who never got any healing off, who looked the exact same size as everyone else. I'll see my teammates get larger when they equip health or bloodlust with kills but never enemies. Makes me wonder if the size increased based off hp isn't bugged if they equip it outside of render distance.

Also all of the blessing you said can be countered are all ones I didn't originally post as being unbalanced. Most of the blessing are straight buffs with no downside, spray used to be balanced with making you less accurate while gaining the fire rate and was actually kind of fun trying to make that work but they decided no to that for some reason. It would take simple changes to balance a lot of blessing. Recycling, reload slower. Vampire, less healing from all other sources. Health increases, actually make you larger and a LOT more than it does now. I'd love to see a dinosaur sized player running around. Mastery I feel should just be outright removed, that one is straight OP. Blessings 100% need to be tweaked a bit but hey that's what the betas are for so maybe we see some balancing in time.

My legendary recycling 35 hp heal was based off dual wielding hardballers not reloading 1 at a time and I thought it was based off the mag size as well so it's possible hardballers are bugged with recycling. I had tested it mid match where a reload with both at 1 shot and both with all shots was exactly 35 hp either way.

Also Lober if you're teaming as a bit to play taxi driver I don't think most people will care just so long as you aren't helping them fight. However, it's still technically teaming so do it at your own risk.

ok, but I may or may not have helped this one man dressed as wizard in a battle I will continue being a taxi but I will no longer aid anyone in battle. and if you see a man honking his horns and nicely asking you "hello get in" it would make him rather sad if you kill him :(

I've actually done the same thing in ring of elysium, guy was going to die outside the circle so I drove up next to him honked a few times until he stopped shooting. Drove him into the circle, dropped him off, and went off to die in a glorious explosion as someone else killed me. In tabg though I'll shoot at a car as soon as I see it regardless of distance, so beware =p

My frames are so much worse than before. Not only do i have terrible connection (since im playing from australia in us servers) but im also getting only 30 - 40 frames on a good day. Anyone got any tips on how to increase framerate (im on the lowest playable qualities already).
