What attachments you have - What you prefer

No best gun in this game - there are however lots of great guns

This is only MY opinion, if you don't like these guns, then its ok. Every weapon in the game is viable so there is no best weapon (exept the beam-ar, its rare but its the most powerful weapon in the game, no recoil, no damage dropoff, hitscan). The best common rifle is the ak-47, good damage, any barrel makes it better, good for close to medium (dont put a scope on it). Best SMG would be the thompson, its reliable when you first drop, great at close range only, AKS-74U is better if you get good because of its higher range. The best sniper would be the Barret, you can fire as fast as you can click, lower damage than the awp but its still a 2 shot kill, a crossbow with fast barrel is the best if you spend some time with it. Best shotgun would be the mossberg, takes some time to learn, but it shreds people if you can aim good. Best Meele is the Jarl Axe, the ability to jump and stun people is borderline op, its a one shot body shot. Remember this is just my opinion, play what you like and don't do something because someone tells you to.

Well thank you, I would add the Katana to the list of strongest melee weapon. shredded so many players with that thing the dmg is crazy too.

Could you please explain me all the barrels that are in the game?

Fast Barrel : increases bullet velocity
Fire rate Barrel : increases weapon fire rate
Accuracy Barrel : reduces bullet deviation
Compensator : greatly reduces recoil
Suppressor : reduces firing noise (also recoil but less than compensator)
Double Barrel : shots two bullets per time (attention, it also means your mag lasts half)
Heavy Barrel : increases range before damage drop
Periscope Barrel : bullets go above walls

Personally I give top choice to compensator/suppressor. The other barrels are good on certain guns, but have little effect on others, or might even ♥♥♥♥ you up

Damn thanks man! What about the healing barrel? Does it heal allies that you hit or yourself?

Healing Barrel makes your gun do healing instead of damage.
Also, Suppressors remove your bullet trails/make your bullets not visible. This is removed by Ice or Poison, as those change your bullet color/add a new bullet effect or something idk specifics.

Best guns in the game(in my opinion):
Crossbow - One hit kill bodyshot, big projectiles. I prefer Crossbow to Musket, but they both work the same. Crossbows have no damage falloff.

M16 - Burst Fire rifle with a ridiculously fast rate of fire for an assault rifle. Pretty low per hit damage, but incredibly low recoil and effective at all ranges. Kills in two full body bursts, or one full head burst(good luck hitting that). Only weapon in the game which I think should probably be nerfed? Needs more recoil

MP44 - Slow firerate assault rifle which kills in three hits at close range, two hits if headshot + bodyshot, knocks down on headshot at close range. Effective at long ranges, killing in four bodyshots at long range.
Most other ARs are fairly good, but these two really stand out to me

FAL - A strictly better version of the Garand and Winchester Rifle. It uses Medium Ammo, but does the same damage with better damage falloff ranges and a longer one hit head range, and has a much bigger magazine.

Barrett - Slightly lower damage but same hits to kill across the board as Kar98 and AWP while having a much, much higher firerate as the two. Unlike the Kar98 and AWP, it cannot be used to one hit kill on bodyshot with a Double Barrel and both shots hitting, as Double Barrels reduce damage slightly(30%?) in addition to firing twice. One hit kill bodyshot with any level of Lit Beats

KAR98/AWP with Lit Beats or Double Barrel - Sniper rifles which one hit kill bodyshot at any range if you do it right. Lit Beats is really good.

Really Big Barret - Fire it and find out.

Beam AR/Beam Sniper - Light Ammo guns which are very effective in general. Try them.

Sawed-Off Shotgun is my preferred pistol slot weapon if I can't find a spell. It throws you back a bit when you fire, which can be pretty helpful, and it's quite good at close range.

Revolvers are also fairly good overall, if you hit the shots they kill really fast. Four body hits at close range, can pull all the shots really fast. Autorevolvers are also pretty nice.

For SMGs it really depends. I prefer the MP40 for high damage per shot and the UMP-45 for longer than normal effective range for SMGs, but most SMGs are good at close range. Thompson has the highest output for close range but falls off really fast fairly certain.

This stuff doesn't account for health upgrades. Against targets with health upgrades, weapons which spray more bullets are generally more effective.

Worst gun in the game goes to the Mossberg-500. It's got too many penalties for the ability to one hit kill at close range on a very good hit, a thing which other guns already do better, like the Flintlock or Crossbow. It's damage falloff is awful. It's one hit range is limited to 10 meters or less, which in TABG is really short.
Even with all this, it's still useable.
Please make the Mossberg not suck at range thanks. Especially with an Accuracy Barrel.

double barrels double the damage of the gun, but reduce the individual bullet damage, so your bullets will do less damage, but if you hit both shots it will do double the damage.

Yes, Double Barrels reduce damage slightly in addition to firing twice. I'll fix that.

These people are braindead. Best weapon in the game is by far the finger guns.
Balzer2017 May 4, 2021 @ 2:39pm
Also anything with big ammo has no dmg fall off. while anything with lower tier ammo does. it varies so test it out in the shooting range with a damage analzyer. The heavy barrel will make the Kar98 1 shot to the chest if they don't have more than 100 health.

This is not true, the Kar98, AWP, and Barrett do not have damage falloff but the Winchester Rifle and Garand do. Both the Winchester Rifle and Garand kill 100 health in a single headshot or two bodyshots within 15 meters, but beyond that take one headshot one bodyshot or three bodyshots.

your right but I just said all heavy ammo doesnt because 99% of the time your going to be shooting from farther than 15 meters with the winchester and garand :)

The weapons are all fairly balanced honestly. Some are better because luck and they are just better but for the most part you're going to be going with what you like the most.
