Idea: Altars can give Blessings (Answered)
Altars are kind of a one sided mechanic. If you are a solo player, there is practically no use for altars or souls, as even if you are cursed, it will probably be too hard to gain the required amount of souls to cleanse yourself. But Altars could have a better and more important use in mid to late game. You could use your collected souls to purchase blessings, (rarity based on the amount of souls spent), to specifically purchase blessings, which are more costly based on the use or rarity, or get a random blessing picked for you, (better chance of rarer blessings if you spend more souls). It would make Altars far more useful, and it would also add more strategy, searching for dropped souls or killing people for them, and it would also mean that you could choose this over risking your life from other players while trying to get an airdrop, which might give better loot but is more dangerous and can end your game.

This actually used to be in the game in an earlier beta release. I've been playing since og days and I can't remember which release but souls used to be used for cleansing, bringing back friends, and blessings. I can't remember if more souls were needed for better blessing rarity but you get the idea. I see why they changed the game mechanics but I also agree that alters need more use, especially solo queuing. Off topic but I think you also absolutely wrecked me in a game recently, nice shooting lmao

Oh, didn't know that, I'm not exactly an OG, (also, didn't know I specifically killed you, small community, I guess!)
