does armor even work?
Ive started to notice that even with armor on I still am getting nearly 1 shotted by most guns even with LV4 and LV5 armor on .
I understand that people might be hitting head shots But I just played two games with lv4 helmets on both games. I got 2 shotted in both games.
is it just because people are using the heavy snipers? thats what i thought but I would get hit twice faster than I could react.
I had a lv5 pickle suit and lv4 helmet and I got dropped almost instantly.
do attachments have damage buffs like the long barrel or the compensator?
maybe im just bad but i thought maybe I could share.

i think armor only protects the area it covors. with a shotgun or something automatic it might hit your arms or legs or any peice not protected which would do more damage. and even if it does protect more than the area, armor doesnt block very much damage. i think lv 5 armor only protects from about 25%. a heavy sniper or a shotgun at close range would oneshot you with good armor on in the game and real life. this game is accurate as hecc.

I do wish they'd add armour in the shooting range. But also, while I'm sure that the armour does in fact only protect what it actually covers, limbs take less damage than torso. With the 556 AK, it takes 1-2 more shots on the limbs. but I do reckon armour does help.
Wouldn't call it 'accurate as heck' because that would render most of the small calibers literally useless against armour. A 9mm or 45 wouldn't do crap against the full ceramic kevlar plate. I mean, other than just the impact force itself, that is. Hell, the level four would stop certain rifle rounds.

maby the tradeoff is that all the armor in this game is super lightwight so you are never hindered but it barely blocks squat. i do prefer being more agile, actually.

I heard that lvl 5 armors were useless, just trolls.

The best armor i think is the cucumber suit and maybe the banana suit to, guys wearing those are always the hardest to kill imo. Im killing one with a cucumber suit in this clip from tonight at 10:37 and you can see in the clip how mutch the bugger can take :-)

Are you sure? I always feel like i have to shoot more before killing someone wearing those suits, and how come i find guys so often in the final ring wearing one of them, if they offer no protection it would be stupid to wear them if you want to win, since they make you easier to spot.

pickle suit does give armour, ive tested it with a spawning mod in the shooting range. it reduces the damage from a shot to the foot from an UMP by around 20% or something.

yeah I think your right regaurding the arms thing. ill have to play a few rounds and test that.
but what about pickle and bannana suits having no armor? it sure seems like it but I feel like the arms thing is more plasuable.

It has to be, and if you wear other armor under the suit , the suit is going to work as extra armor. It cant be my imagination having to put so many bullets in someone wearing the picle suit and lvl 4 or 5 armor under the suit.

But if anyone show me a clip testing the suit and its shown not to protect, i rest my case. For now im with you.

Yeah, don't even bother to wear those pickle armor or stuff. I had it in a previous game and a guy like gave me 2 shoots from an M14 I think and I was dead. He was wearing a normal tactical vest and he survived 4 shoots from a sniper shotgun.

Armor doesn't seem to work considering how many times I seemingly got 1-shot by automatic weapons on full health while wearing a helmet
Petralicious Jul 13, 2018 @ 4:23am
Long barrel increases damage and lvl5 armor pieces are red herrings that offer no protection.

Also some weapons fire so fast you may not even notice you took multiple shots.
