I had SM104 for ages in my steam library. Have played through it twice.

Nowadays it is not free anymore and you can not download it in a normal way anymore...

Today I planned to install it on my notebook but to my surprise my notebook did not show SM104 any more in my library. I checked out my steam subscribtion file and it wasn't there anymore. I compared this to a two year old backup and it was still there.

Ok but I still had it on my desktop computer. I started it there and it worked flawless.

Strangely as long as my account is running on both computers I can see and download the game also on my notebook. But if I shut down my main computer while it isn't installed on my notebook then it vanished from my notebook too...

I checked this with two other computers.

So I wonder: Since when is steam actively deleting owned games from my library? Or is this some kind of accidential fubar?

Edit 1 I checked if I could download it from the Steam Text Command Console manually. Yes, it still works there, just enter "download 8230" and you are ready. It seems to be still free and available as long as you got it while it was free but the shop seems to be completely disconfigured so only command line works for download...

Edit 2 So technically I still do own the game but due to a misconfigured store I can not download it normally anymore.

Edit 3 I asked a friend of mine who owns this game for ages too. Same, the game has simply vanished from the GUI version of steam and is only available trought the command line version of steam...???

Steam Support, please check, this doesn't seem right or legit.

I just checked out two other "free games" which do show up norrmally on my notebook even without being installed but I guess for SM104 you are right.

Your Idea with the Steam-Install Link is a lot better than my way, thanks, will remember that.

I own all the season 1, I bought a while ago as a unique key.
There is a bug with the Episode4: I have it in my library but it doesn't appear in my list of games on my profil...
I didn't know it was free but I guess it's the same bug...
