Single Sales Dropping, not sure why.
So I just started my sister group (Named it Calyx) moved some noteables from my main group (Echelon) to kick start it.
I didn't think that'd affect it because I can still have them perform in Echelon singles.

Calyx's first singles were fine, pretty solid sales even though I underestimated them. (set the CDs produced to 20,000. Sold 13,000 to 15,000.)

Echelon however has dropped.
Plastic Cup hit its cap of sales at 75,000. Fan Satisfaction(FS) at 58%
Then Tragic Feeling under performed next at 51,888. FS at 41%

Amaterasu, which I was hoping was going to be my next big single, I put the cds produced at 150,000 hoping for a really good hit of sales. I followed trends hoping to make a chart topper (which is my current goal) and ended up drastically under performing at a measly 23,000 sales with 42% FS (which compared to Tragic feeling, it should have at least been double that)

I followed up with RE:Demption which had 44% FS and only just broke even at 61,000 sales.

Why are my sales trending downwards, and what can I do to fix this?

Marketing with Individual Handshake, sales never drop below 25% of your total fans (unless you have lots of scandal points)
And the revenue is +100 yen for every single sales

Fun Fact, the more Idols involved in single the better the sales

Thanks mate. That could have been what it was, I may not have filled the Roster out.
I did take a risk and put it on one of the roulette options (if I remember correctly)

You also want to pay attention to how often you're releasing singles each month. I literally noticed this today after already what 15 hours of play-time, but if the Release Button is "Green" then the Sales should be good, however, if the Release button is Yellow then the sales won't be as high and will drop. So you'll want to pace yourself in how you release stuff. (this is of course on Normal, not sure if it's hard on the last difficulty, I'll know one day)

Forming Sister Groups do help too since if you release under a Sister Group it doesn't effect your main group if you want to release something there too that same month.

This is good advice. But I already know that one. For anyone else reading this though, also read this guy's reply.

If you can afford it stam-wise, is there ever a reason NOT to max out Individual Handshake and always use that?

Group Handshake is just an inferior version of Individual, that doesn't have such a high STAMINA tax on it, so...

the roulette options only become worthwhile when maxed out and even then i'm not so sure if things like fanbase gain are worth it due to how many fans you can gain from a super successful single

in my playing experience, catering to hardcore fans > all

edit: exception to what i said-- at the start of the game, Digital Release is usually the way to go.

Remember that filling the roster out increases the stats associated with a single upon release. So you lost stats from your main group single if you didnt fill out the roster.

Using a roulette option probably contributed to the drop too unless you have it at lvl 10 and even then i'm skeptical about roulette options except in very specific circumstances (i.e try to gain a lot of fans quickly with Ad/Viral)

Does Calyx have newbies as well? Could have something to do with group cohesion if so. What's the term the game uses...? It's the bar at the bottom when setting up the unit for a single.

If some of your group are new and others came over from an existing group, they're not operating at their peak, which hurts their overall performance a bit. Could account for the drop in sales.

It had been a bit since this post. I don't remember sorry.
