I tried to fire idol and staff at Christmas. Cannot unlock You ruined Christmas Achievement.

Try hiring every staffer from novice to expert? I don't know if it'll work for you but it did work for me. Good luck!

Thanks. It is the middle class which I have never recruit.
I am playing the Chinese version, I think the translation may be difference to English version.

I'm playing the English version and that staffer achievement definitely doesn't unlock the way it's supposed to. I'll try hiring the middle-rank next time and see if it unlocks for me too.

Edit: It did unlock, so either you have to hire at every tier, or it's set to unlock from the wrong tier.

Following that, I did max a staff member and the achievement for doing that didn't unlock. I think it might just be because the specific person I maxed doesn't count, but it's an absurd grind to max anyone else to be able to confirm it. It will take several in-game years unless I can get the Award bonuses to activate (I'm not sure if they don't work consistently due to a bug or if there's some secret reason behind it).

In response to my attempt at that previously mentioned achievement for maxing a staff member, I almost got there, but the game deleted my save out of nowhere and lost about 20 hours of progress, so I won't be trying again.

It's definitely absurd how long it takes to level staff to that point though. I believe I had around 26 billion yen (game could definitely use some late-game money sinks), 6 million fans, and released so many singles that it slowed down the menu whenever I tried to make a concert.

One of my game save was bugged too. When I had more than 1 billion, my game loading cannot pass the loading screen.

There was a mod update before I quit and started the game immediately. So, I tried to disable mods, it still bugged.
Afterward, I found that I could load the Chapter 1 without issue. Then, I could load the other save files without the bug screen.
However, all my characters pictures were already ruined because of disable mods.

I fired nearly every staff and idol I had, starting on December 1st, all the way through December 31st. About every other day, as the timer allowed. One after another. All month. No mods. No achievement. Definitely bugged.

Edit: I reloaded a few times and tried a few different things. I wanted to leave my experience with all the details here for future readers that come to this thread.

I loaded a game for Dec 3rd (Chapter 5, during the time-limited story event where you had to complete 4 tasks for a committee), and let the days go by until Dec. 15th without doing anything. I fired one staff member every day between Dec. 15th and Dec 21. On December 22nd, I fired a staff member, who was the first idol I ever recruited (and dated), who had been promoted to staff (Voice Coach) after graduation. On December 23rd, a cutscene played regarding getting fired during the holidays. The achievement was granted towards the end of that cutscene.

The actual cutscene mentions New Year's Day. And someone earlier mentioned they got it on Dec. 28. The implication that it's related to December 25th (Christmas) is misleading.

The staff member I fired was, as mentioned, the first person ever hired in my game. So it's possible the achievement requires a veteran staff member or one that you had/have strong friendship/influence/love with.
