Yes, On the first location (prologue) all was fine. But after that, when I arrive in another location I got fps drop. From 60 to 20 (periodically) and and it doesn't depend on quality settings. My GPU overloaded to 100%.

The same thing I got when I tryed to play in the Baldur Gate 3.

I don't have any idea why it happens. It can't be on 2070RTX.

Spec:
ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX502GW
CPU: Intel Core i7-9750H 2,6 GHz (4,5 GHz in Turbo)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB
RAM: 32Gb (DDR4-2666)

I don't think that is problem with physical perfomance, because I see the same problem (overload GPU) even if I change game settings to mininum (low).

Yes and game is lagging during, coop play, and feels very clunky and unfinished as well, me and friend just refunded it, o well i got more hopes for it. Graphically skills are horribly looking as well. It looks almost same as i played this game first time when it was launched.

buildings, trees, effects, shadow and foliage make the dps drop heavily

Can y'all update your posts with your CPU/GPU/RAM specs please?

(Edit: Y'all are the best. Thanks for helping us get these issues tracked down. <3 )

Playing through the tutorial island I was getting 110-120 fps constant on high settings.

As soon as I spoke to 'Viveka The Seer' I see a drop of 40-60 frames constant with lots of stuttering gameplay. It stays around 50 with lots of stutter and occasionally goes up to 60.

CPU: i5 9600k
GPU: RTX2070 8GB
RAM: 16GB
SATA SSD 6.0GB/s (Read - 560 MB/s) (Write - 510 MB/s)
Windows 10

Thank you for your support, Mitch!

Tutorial Island on cinematic constant 100 FPS, as soon as I leave Tutorial Island FPS drops and stuttering all around, expecially near buildings.

EDIT : WIN10 game installed on Samsung 970 EVO PRO M2 SSD.

Noob island I had 70+ FPS on high settings. After that, FPS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ TANKED...and I mean TANKED. Now I am running around the open world game in the 40s, and when I get to a village it tanks below 20 FPS...unfortunately I am beyond two hours played and cannot refund. I don't have a NASA PC, but its capable of playing newly released 2020 games at above 60 fps 1080p.

RX480 8GB OC, i76700k 4.5GHz OC, 16GB RAM

I too have this same issue. Game comes completely unplayable after leaving the tutorial island. Which is weird cause prior to this version the game actually ran pretty well with some issues.

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
GPU: RX 5600XT
RAM: 8gb

after completing the training, the game becomes unplayable even at the lowest graphics settings

Thanks everyone for editing in (or adding) your specs. Three other pieces of key info that we need:

1) Can you please include your Operating System and what type of hard drive RUNE II is installed on? (Sata HDD, Sata SSD, M.2 SSD)

2) Can you tell me more details about what you were doing when you experienced low FPS drops?

3) What is your average frame rate normally, and what is your average frame rate when you're hitting FPS drops?

Same issue as everyone else.

Ryzen 9 3900X, RTX 2080 Super. 32GB 3200MHz RAM, SATA HDD, Win10 Pro.

Single player.

Cinematic settings with RTX on and vsync off in the tutorial map I got 90-100 fps pretty much constantly, with only a few minor drops to around 80~.

After moving to the main island FPS immediately hit the 40-50 mark and continued to drop over time until after about 90 minutes it was at about 20-25 and pretty much unplayable. Very frequent spikes down to 5/10 throughout. Spikes often coincided with gathering resources, but occurred extremely frequently outside of gathering too without any obvious reason as to why. Villages were notably very buggy, anywhere with any NPC's infact.

Changing graphics settings between low and cinematic, disabling RTX etc did nothing. Nor did changing between borderless windowed and fullscreen. GPU was maxed out.

WIN 10, m.2. The moment I landed on the main map from exiting noob island I could tell the game was ♥♥♥♥♥♥. What was previously a smooth 70+ fps became stuttering 40s. Walking to that first "village" (if you can even call it that) tanked it down into the 30s, and 20s....then running a bit further up to the next village for a quest my fps was in the 'TEENS... yes,'TEENS. Dropping the graphic settings barely even helps it...even on LOW the game is still a stuttering mess.

As far as what am I doing? I am just playing the game...not sure what else to say. I can stand still or be moving and the fps is garbage either way.
