Visual C ++ Runtime error

Hi, I think updating my graphic card drivers game started crushing with an Visual C ++ Runtime error.

I reinstalled the game, the runtimes, executed weird commands, removing drivers and there is no use. Game still crash with the following error

"Runtime Error
[Game Path]

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information"

As far as I know, the game uses 2017 x86 Visual C++ Runtime.

Any Help?

Is there any way to reinstall the game with redist package or something like that?

Hi, you should have some runtimes in a folder in your local files. Can you install everything there?
(Should be a folder called _CommonRedist)

I suppose that means to install visual C ++ from there. Already done, but game doesn't start.

I've checked, the game started crushing since a windows update (I finished the game in may 8th). In the list of restore points there is a windows update in may 8th in the end of the day.

In the event viewer, when installing Visual C ++ runtime, an error appears:

"Error in Volume Shadow Copy: unexpected error invoking method QueryFullProcessImageNameW. HR = 0x80070006, The handle is invalid.

I've translated the message from spanish, but it should be accurate. The runtime seems installed and working.

No error in event viewer when starting the game and getting the runtime error.

I tried to restore windows (10) to a previous and working state and it won't let me because of an error in the file system. I run a chkdsk, a DISM.exe and no problem found in both cases. Maybe no turning back on those restore points.

I don't know what else to do.

By the way, if it is for any help, my computer is a Intel i5 -3570K 3.40GHz (64b processor) 8GB RAM.

Have you tried uninstalling all your Visual C ++ runtimes manually?

Then reinstalling the ones you need?

You would need these for the game:

I've uninstalled all redist, I downloaded the links in the last post and installed them, rebooted the computer and installed the game.

Runtime error still appears. I've checked event viwer and found out that the runtime error actually is an information level event. I copy the text of the error:

I didn't find files of the error.

I followed instructions of Clean boot mode and diagnosing memory problems and no luck so far.

Same problem here, tough for it happand after my pc crashed.
I had the game ran in the background on skip when my pc crashed for another reason.

I have tried reinstalling the game and the visual C++ all with restarting my pc and stuff.

tough i still have the problem and the game wouldn't instal anything in the regular steam folder anymore.
I had to create a folder on my desktop and download into that folder to make the game install again.
Tough now i still have the runtime problem which makes me unable to play the game.


When i startup i see moenovel logo and after it, it gets stuck on white screen till it dropsout with the error.

I can play other Moe Novels as "if my heart had wings" and "A sky full of stars" and work good. I only can't play "Adventure of a Lifetime". Hope they fix it soon.

Thank you for the information regarding the RADAR_LEAK_WOW64 issue.
At the moment, we haven't been able to identify what exactly is causing this trigger. It also seems like other games in the past have run into this error and we are currently searching for a way to solve the issue.

Could you all please do the following for me:

• Uninstall Adventure of a Lifetime and run a System File Check. Guide: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system
  
• Then run a disk check. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2641432/check-your-hard-disk-for-errors-in-windows-7
  
• After both of these are done, can you please double check that your graphics card drivers are all up to date. (perhaps even look into uninstalling the updates and manually installing the latest version)
  
• Double check you have the correct runtimes installed.

• Once all this is done, please reinstall Adventure of a Lifetime and try playing it again.

I made the File check with a clean result (no errors):

C:\WINDOWS\system32>DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

And a:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc /scannow

But I have found something strange about Visual C++ Redist 2015. It seems that 2017 version removes 2015 version, and after that, if I try to install 2015 it send me the following message "Error code 0x80070666" meaning that other version is already installed. Note that I used the links in the previous posts. In other words, both versions can't be installed at the same time.

And finally I have to tell that as you said, my computer was upgraded from windows 7,

The specs of my computer are in a previous post. So if more information is needed please make me know.

I've had the same problem for a while now-- my laptop came with Windows 10 installed though. everything's been updated but I still can't run the game. fingers crossed you guys will figure out what's going on soon, I was so close to finishing the game and it's driving me nuts
