(Try some Earth Defense Force 5 though. It just had a PC port, same devs as RAD, and later you get some big robot punching action vs space godzillas)
Mind you, I'd LOVE to see a remake. But it's one hell of a niche game in the west, I don't know if I see the room for them to profit off it.
But THEN they decided to take RAD and make a budget game where they give you a bunch of guns and dump giant ants into the RAD city for you to blow up. This game was called Earth Defense Force and became Sandlots biggest and most well known franchise. Yes, EDF 1 and 2 ran on the RAD engine.
If you need a quick RAD fix, go play EDF 4.1, use the Air Raider and get the Walking Fortress Balam. It's pretty darn similar to a Meganite. I thibk EDF5 has a similar mecha but I have not yet unlocked it.
But asking Sandlot to make a new Robot Alchemic Drive using the EDF5 engine makes perfect sense. Most of the groundwork is already laid.
