There was really no marketing for the game atleast thats what i think because if i didnt see this game on the new release section of steam i wouldve never found out about this game but hopefully through word of mouth this game gets more players.

It's been fluctuating between 2k and 500 since launch but I think the numbers may be wrong somehow. It takes mere seconds to queue into a match assuming you are either playing solo mode or have a full team of three.

The game has cross play too so it has more players than what is showing up on steam.

I hope they add Duo Mode and Custom Games very soon. If so, i see a good future. This is a little bit a niche game. Yes it does have the target to extract something and this is very popular but it must be full of players. Otherwise the game dies =(

Duo mode would be amazing, trios is just too much for this game IMHO.

Also the game is crossplay and not all of the player base is represented by just steam or steam charts.

The count on steam doesn't reflect the player base. It doesn't take into accoun EPIC and the console player counts.

It peaks at 1600 or so each day on Steam. I'd suggest being mindful of what time it is when you check the player count, especially if it's a weekday. And like others have said, there's EGS and console players.

It needs a free weekend, or more appropriately a free-to-play model with mtx cosmetics. Sucks but I just don't see this game getting off the ground with an entry fee.

what are you talking about? The player count has grown each day lol. Its at 1400 right now and its not even in peak hours yet, will probably be 1700+ during peak.

Although it is crossplay, it is surprising and subsequently concerning to see such a low player count on steam on release week. Especially considering a games player base tends to widdle down the longer the game is out.
