Like I always say crossplay is bull and should never be counted on especially for indie games so if Steam numbers are low console will be no different if not worse.
What's your basis for this ignorant claim? Queue times certainly are suggesting there's way more then 150 players for getting game after game with full lobbies.
Unless you can prove console numbers are also low (Which you can't because they're not posted anywhere), there's zero logic to handwaving away Crossplay numbers.
This misinformation needs to stop being spread.
Also something I don't mention because I blatantly forget is the player count on steam is the total amount of players in general (for the steam platform obviously), so if your in a "bad" region your screwed. Having a 1000 players total split up or mixed together among various regions is really bad.
If people don't buy the game, how on earth do you expect more people to play? Telling people not to buy it is ensuring that this self fulfilling prophecy of "Game iz ded" comes true because you're driving people away.
Set it to worldwide. Suddenly those 1000 players split up aren't so split up.
That's why I also said mixed (miss-worded, worldwide/global makes more sense) is also not good either.
Being vague and cryptic doesn't handwave away my points I've made the way you think it does. But then again, you weren't looking to engage in good faith if you can't even explain why these Red Herrings mean anything.
Say it with me.
Crossplay
For the low count on Steam, queues are still plenty quick. If there was ONLY 174 players, I would need to set it to Worldwide and I'd still expect a few minute queue time. That's not what's happening here, which means there's a substantial population outside Steam.
Queue times seem to support that they do. The fact that I've even said on another thread that I play this on console more then on Steam further suggests that yes, there are plenty of people that do. This game really isn't that hard to play with a controller, thanks to zero spread. Or maybe it's just a skill issue on your end since this is the type of logic you're throwing down here?
I agree, the only acceptable option is to point out the flaws in your points and laugh that the best you can bring are petty insults.
