Suggestions
I am going to make some suggestions for this game:

1: Make a version where you can use the mouse for attacking. Also should be able to use the arrow keys instead of the numberpad on the right side of the keyboard.

2. Why doesn't the character walk backwards when blocking? I should be able to hold the block button and walk backwards while doing it instead of turning around..

3. You should be able to lower the gun without having to shoot a bullet. Instead of using the number pad to swing, block, and shoot, it should be used with the mouse, where left click is swing sword, hold right click to block, hold right click and push left click to light swing while blocking, and use the scroll wheel or the numbers at the top of the keyboard to change weapons...When gun is out it should be right click to hold gun out, left click to shoot, that way you dont have to shoot if you have your gun up, it only shoots if you click. Heavy attack could be CTRL or rebound to whatever. I understand that a lot of people would just use a controller but I much prefer using keyboard so I'm hoping you can implement different keyboard setups so it is easier to play. Right now you cannot rebind the attacks to the mouse....

4. You should be able to roll while running. It seems like you have to let go of the run key before you can roll.

The game will not change this is an almost 3 years old game, and was my first game. There will be no changes made.

Well that really sucks. You should be open to player feedback or you will never get anywhere with your games. It's a good game, but needs improvements. Simple as that.

Can barely make it through the tutorial section because you made the control scheme and the mechanics pretty weird. Doing that makes it really only appeal to a small group of people...

I am open to feedback, you dont seem to understand this is a 3 years old game that is not financially viable to keep updating forever. Also half of what you said is very subjective.

And why exactly should all games try to appeal to everyone? See I never ever want to make a game that appeals to everyone, first of all thats a fool's errand, that can never happen, second of all if you want those games buy AAA games, by big publishers you'll get exactly that games that try to appeal to everyone for maximum profits.

All I asked was for you to make it so I can use the mouse instead of the numberpad on the right. 99% of people do this. You picked a very weird place to control the fighting. I'm not asking you to do huge things. A couple things that would make the game much better. I play tons of games like these. These are the kinds of games I look for non stop so I know exactly how it would play better. I understand though, it is a 3 year old game and you are done doing work. BUT, it just showed up on Steam, so I couldn't have possibly known that.

But you say you are open to feedback, and that is my feedback. If you do not want to work on it, that is fine. You will have 90% of people uninstalling within the first 10 minutes because of the controls alone.

And when I say that, I don't mean it as offensive. I can tell you put a lot of work into it and it is awesome, just some things I noticed right off the bat that I think would make it feel more fluid when playing.

I am very open to feedback. A lot has changed in both my games, but that does not mean I'll have to do everything that anyone says. Im soryy but especially someone with very low playtime.

You make some outrageous claims based on nothing, I know exactly how many people play and how much thanks to steams internals.

Controls are subjective, what's comfortable to you wont be to others.

The mouse serve no function for the game, everything else is rebindeable.

soeey but op is absolutly right, i would buy teh game if controls were good, i also gave up since controls are pure cocoa.

That's absolutely fine.

I know, I just wish I could use the mouse instead of being forced to use the keyboard for the combat. 99% of games I play use the mouse so that is just what I'm used to, and what most people are used to. But I respect your decision nonetheless. I still think it is a good game, from what I have been able to play so far. Just not used to the controls. And one mechanic I wish you would possibly change is the turning while blocking. I really wish you could walk backwards while blocking, but it's your game so do with it what you like.

I had trouble getting used to the controls as well but what I really dont like was that I couldn't even tell my character was getting hit by the first enemy. Like there's barely any effect or way to tell that you are getting hurt, also the fact that the lady can just power through your attacks without flinching and being the first enemy of the game is very jarring to me. And omg the butler, he throws out his knifes super fast so you can barely react to it but the worst is when he does the teleport attack, dodge it and you get a chance to attack him for free damage but, there's a ton of fire around him so its pretty hard to hit him with out taking damage yourself

I agree DemonFox. I think the game is good, just needs a little work. The main thing I don't like are the controls, and the fact you can't hold the block button and back up, the character turns around instead...

The game will not change. Especially not the free version.
I'm adding content to my second game Usurper and already hard at work on the third game so I dont have time for this, considering I do everything alone aside from music.
