Why not cell counting or column and row highlighting?

Other similar games hightliht the column/row you are in, and count the cells as you move through them. Without those features it is much easier to make a mistake (though I appreciate the feature that lets you mark cells and delete the markings with no ill effects and marking a cell by muscle reflex has no repercusiins)
