this is a vn, if they didn't change anything from the original game outside the art into anime scene, it would have much more story and routes than the anime (the anime only doing 1 route, Makise route with 2 endings) the game at least have 5 i guess, i'm not sure, but it just much more story than the anime

Since this is basically just a remaster of the original Visual Novel, this likely includes all of the extra endings that the anime skipped over (and the Japanese-only anime movie sort of showed off at one point). There's quite a bit more content, and more character development.

If you don't like the art-style of the original VN, I'd recommend picking this up.

It's longer in terms of content and you also get to see Okabe's thoughts about the different events that happen throughout the plot.
Just like the original VN, this remake contains all the endings that the anime did not adapt, and the events shown in the Chapter 9 of the VN are massively different compared to those in the anime series.

More detailed character interactions with the consequence of more long-winded banter that goes nowhere. It's a double edged sword.

I personally rage quit the VN after 7 hours in Chapter 3 and jumped ship to the anime despite how much more in-depth the VN is because of that long-windedness and the VN's tendency to over-explain not so important details for upwards of tens of minutes at a time.

100% worth. this has way way way way way more content than the anime, and all great animation... Plus they fixed some mistakes the anime made, made continuity better by moving some parts around added more fitting music to more scenes, more experienced voice actors (after so long they all do an amazing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ job...), and I even fully read/watched through parts that I really didn't like in the original VN too much, because the animation makes it all worth going through, especially the subtle differences in okabe's face when he has to repeat the same scene pretty much.
