No need for original Game?
So. If I get this Elite version, I won’t need to buy the original game right?

no, they almost the same, the artstyle is the only major difference between the 2

Ok. Thanks!

This is basically a "remake" of the first game. Same script, but instead of the more unique static images, it's the more generic yet animated graphics from the anime (plus new animations for the parts cut for the anime). It's the same game, just depends on which art style/format you prefer.

Correct, but you'll miss some great artworks, that said the flow and overall style of elite is so much better IMO.

Minor spoilers, you don't NEED to play the original VN, however some variables in scenes changed because in the original, there are times you could pick up the phone or ignore it, reply or ignore text messages, some of those are inconsequential (like ignoring the phone while talking to Kurisu.) In Elite, those alternate variations don't exist (one scene in 0.409431 is completely missing (see anime episode 17), and one scene was different in the anime. Both of these take place in about 6 minutes of the anime, but in the VN there was an entirely different sequence that happened book-ending both parts of that scene, they more or less were cut in the anime and, hence Elite.) Also in the original VN it's possible to repeat the first time leap until you actually act.

One confusing thing in Elite, the screen only shows the keyboard controls, even if you're playing with the controller. So write down the controls for the phone trigger.

There are differences, faris chapter had content removed.
I'd recommend playing the original VN first.

very little removed, like, one monologue? replaced with sooooo many more lines of dialogue in the game in total, and a better chronology.

The rainet tournament is still there, shido is the only one removed, but everything else still happens as normal,

pro to s;ge version: the script is significantly longer than the original in the side bits, missing one main thing (shido).

If you get Elite you also get the bonus game LBP which has the same art as the original VN, so you truly get the best from both worlds! :D
Play them both, if you enjoy either you owe it to yourself to check them both out. I preferred the original VN but I guess i'm a purest.
