How Does Grinding Work, Exactly?
I'm just about to hit up the second boss, and I felt like topping up a bit on resources + xp since a certain enemy in the current stage could literally 1-shot whatever side of my party it plowed into, but I noticed something kind of off-putting...

Not one single enemy I'd encountered thus far has respawned, in all of stage 1 or 2. going back and looking around essentially wasted a few days, which of course means less points earned per character lifespan once I got back. I decided to look around the discussions a bit, and the only mention I've seen of enemies respawning has said that it's not a daily thing.

So about how often does it happen? and how careful am I gonna need to be with points to avoid a perma-game-over that results in all my progress being completely pointless? I'd REALLY rather avoid that sort of "kick to the groin", so to speak.

*Post-Testing Update* Chocos was right, it IS complex, especially for a mob respawning system. Nearest I can tell it's random how long each mob you kill will take to come back (with some being "locked" from respawning until you meet a requirement like "x ammount of story progress made"), with them rarely coming back the next day regardless of where you are when that day swaps over, though it does still happen once in a while. They never seem to be gone for more than 5 or so days, so it appears to be capped to make sure they don't take outright years to show up again.

Depends on what difficulty you play on. I suppose on 1 and 2(?) they never respawn. On 3 they will respawn after a certain amount of days. I believe it depends on how far you are into the game onoly a fraction of monsters will spawn after x amount of time was spent and harder ones will spawn after x chapters. It's quite complex.

You don't need to worry for perma game over. I believe that's nigh impossible even on the hardest difficulty. You get so many points you will never risk running out of them.

Don't worry either about enemies one-shotting you it's not that unusual if they haven't gained the corresponding shigabane yet, dying is quite necessary in this case as weird as this sounds. Afterwards they gan great resistance.

That actually explains a lot in light of some tests I was doing. I wasn't seeing an overly consistent respawn timeframe so my next guess was to just sleep over and over until I only had 1 survivor left and see if I could sync up the "death day" for everybody and see if the mob respawns were triggered by characters dying. I'll probably still do the test but considering after having one person age to death right at boss 2's zanki door I'm pretty sure that's the case.

Long story short I came back the literal next day after clearing the room because I needed all 8 survivors alive, and everything was back. Mobs in the forest on the way, even "creatures" in the zanki door room.
