uh oh ps4 version looks better
It would appear we got the shaft on this port of the game. I compared the ps4 version to pc version and the pc version is missing some effects and textures are a little bit lower.

Controller support is also terrible on here. They relied on steam controller support to fill the role and we already know how badly that can go :/ refunded already (well technically my brother cause of family sharing). FPS also dips like crazy.

Shame. Game looked good (Some modder was probably going to get the uncensored patch)

I hope they fix that controller issue, and yes, this port have some effects and graphics issues compared with ps4 version. I dont have any problem with fps.

FPS is good for me... but with 2080 I would be shocked if it was otherwise. Did they base the pc version of the vita version? I feel like we are missing alot of effects and textures compared to the ps4 version. I ended up refunding on steam and buying the ps4 version.

Considering most of Spike Chunsoft's ports are based on Vita versions, it's not entirely impossible, even though it should not be tolerated in the current year. Kind of ironical since we won't get said version in the West...

Wait, really? :/

I was looking forward to this since I don't really mind the lost content, but being worse than the PS4 version would be a deal breaker for me. I normally prefer to play on the PC when I can, but I already have the JP PS4 one and if it's a superior product....

The PC port is based on the PS4 version so texture resolutions/etc should be identical.
Could you let us know what launcher settings you're using and send a DxDiag report along with screenshots to our support team?

1440p all settings on and full screen mode. I ended up refunding for the ps4 version, so if you give me a key I can do so otherwise not possible.

For example, textures are lower quality on the pc version compared to ps4 version. there are some effects that are not in the pc version for example lighting and shadows are downgraded. One thing that stands out is in the ps4 version trees and bush 's move due to wind however in the pc version this dose not happen big trees move but everything else is static.

If you want I can send you proof of purchase so you know I am not lying. it may just be easier to compare them yourselves, I would think you guys would have access to your own games :o

My rig is good but not a beast if this is so I might as well buy the game on PS4, I could probably locate a version with the CD if one was made and I looked hard enough.

I tried the demo on PS4, the game looked quite good. Then I bought the game on PC, and wow, nice downgrade there. Even the anti-aliasing is worse than on the PS4. How ? Why ?
And why can't I change the controls ?

The port is very clunky (and probably had worse textures until v1.02, considering the game's size was increased by around 2GB) and uses FXAA as its anti-aliasing, which is barely effective. The PS4 version probably uses another, better form of anti-aliasing (or perhaps upscaling, I don't know).

As for the fixed control scheme even on keyboard... You'll have to ask Spike Chunsoft about that. They probably tried doing the same as with Danganronpa and Zero Escape, except this game has actual gameplay (not that the impossibility to remap keys in DR or ZE is very good either).

So I wasn't mad and the game looks actually better on PS4. Regarding the controls, in the end I find it more confortable to play with a controller, which says a lot. Despite that, the game is rather pleasant and the story is very interesting (so far at the end of chapter 2).
