Diamond locations?

I need Diamonds to upgrade my base, can't find any. Where can I get them? For the record, I just completed stage 7.

I found one on the floor of stage 8.

i've found diamonds on the ship boxes, i've also sometimes found them washed up on the shore of the beach (first dungeon)

I am wondering if difficulty effects the spawn timer or something b/c I have passed 6 in game days, and the gems have not respawned. What difficulty are you.

Top floor's outer path. It was appeared before a door. I don't know it is random or not.
