Save game location?

I have an old save I wish to use, but the game will not recgnozie it. I started a new game and saved, but can not find THAT save location (the new one).

I have the old save file (which I want to use) but can not figure out where the game reads the save game locations...and I have checked trhough my documents --> square ---> save AND through the steam random number remote thing. Both of those save files are of my my old save file, but the game does not recgnoize em.

This is where it default saves mine.

If you using Windows 7 steam usually saves in the My Documents folder on the C: drive if you have more than one drive, I have 2 a SSD for the Op system and 500GB for games music etc. I redirected all my libraries to the 500GB as in Documents/Pictures etc but Windows still keeps the original documents folder on the C: drive as a back-up normally STEAM saves them there but since I changed the directory for my games within Steam it now saves them on the 500GB drive. But I have come across some saves under C:\Users\User Name\Documents

It's not Steam, but rather the individual games that determine where they put their saved games.

on my documents, there is only just the config/settings of the game, in the steamdirectory, there are the saves...

Very easy, you go into the folder of Steam and you write in the search bar of ID. Just cause 2 - 8190 there is a folder you open it and save it there

just save the game from menu and it be there in files of steam
