Faction Influence!

So, i'm going around unlocking areas, completing them, causing chaos everywhere. I've unlocked 3 settlements with the Roaches. Now my question is this....will the faction influence expand to cover the whole land, or do i have to join the other factions??? I wanted to see if it was possible to have the Roaches cover the entire land....

You work with all the factions and they'll claim different areas I think.

But I don't know for sure. Try it and tell us what happens! For science!

i haven't had any new races or faction missions unlocked in a while. just something fun i'm trying...

You unlock more areas of the map for each faction on completion of so many missions and stronghold takeovers, when you highlight a mission it will tell you if it's a SH takeover if so then it will expand the area of influence, the downside is it does nothing at all within the world its self the area will show as expanded but the factions just don't move themselves.

Thats the main issue I have with the game you can get mods to do it but the game itself should of had this anyway, when you expand or take over a village/town/city they recruit the people to fight for them and defend there homes etc. To move around the world and see the army trying to retake key areas would of made the game world far far more better.

ah ok. that answers it. I thought i saw one person's map on a screeny showing he had the entire map highlighted by one particular faction. He must have had a mod for it then. I've been stuck with my current 3-zone-by-Roaches setup for a while and was wondering if i was going to be able to expand further.

Each of the three factions gets three sections each of the map no matter how you play the game. I'm with Nakatomi_Uk on his idea about recruitment of the people in the citys and villages and the idea of the "Army" trying to retake the key areas the factions took over.

Thank you for this helpful tip. I thought by helping one nation you help conquer the whole map. It's good that's not the case.
