Some information I found online which I thought I would post to help those having problems with the main game crashing. I do not take credit for the information listed, only my search for a fix to help everyone.

1. Just Cause 2 stutters and lags for Nvidia graphics cards users

Follow these steps to fix this stuttering issue:

Click on Just Cause 2 in your Steam Library and select PROPERTIES
Select LAUNCHER OPTION, and key in “/dxadapter=0″
Download Nvidias Inspectors following this link: http://tinylinks.net/nvidiainspectors
Open Nvidia Inspector
Select the tab on the right of DRIVERS VERSION and select JUST CAUSE 2 on the options tab.
Scroll down and look for : ShimsRenderingModeOptionsper application for Optimus.
Choose the writings on the right, scroll down and choose SHIMS_RENDERING_OPTIONS_DEFAULT_RENDERING_MODE
Select the APPLYS CHANGES tab on the top rights-hand corner

2. Just cause 2 crashes randomly

There are four things to try:

Disable the “Decals” option in advanced display options menu
Turn off Bokeh Filter and GPU water simulation option and motion blur in the graphics settings
Type /dxadapter=0 in the launch options.
Re install the game, Then restart PC.

3. Just cause 2 when launching using Steam says ” Steam is too busy to handle your request at the moment” gives error code (Code 53)

Disable your antivirus scanning while installing, Re install game and play.
4. Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Mod crashes, error says “missing executable”.

This are the steps to fix that

Download and extract this zip file “Just Cause 2 Mod ” from mediafire {リンクが削除されました}https://www.mediafire.com/?sc6g7zhrxd13fl8
Navigate to MyComputer/ProgramFilesx86/Steam/SteamApps/common/ and paste file there.
Launch the game through Steam and play.

5. Just cause 2 crashes after some minutes of play

This is fixed by capping the frames per second in the game

Go into steam.
Select JustCause 2, then and click properties.
Click “Set Launch Options” .
Change the launcher options to the following: -/frameratecap=30 /filmgrain=0

6. Just Cause 2 crashes: Error 53

Verify game cache
Turn off antivirus real time scanning
Navigate to game in Steam Library
Right click on justcause2.exe , click properties then launch options, then type /dxadapter=0 .

7. Just cause 2 wont start, screen is forever loading

If playing game from external hard disk, uninstall then re install in internal drive. Will work perfectly.
8. Just Cause 2 doesn’t start, gives error: Fatal Direct X error

Install the DirectX10/11 redistributable files located in Just Cause 2 folders. Restart the game.
9. Just Cause 2 wont start

If your game doesn’t start, here are known solutions you can try:

Make sure the game is installed properly: verify your game cache and check the connectivity with the Steam
Manually run secondary installers that are required for the game like vcredist_x86 found in your Just Cause 2 installation folder
Play the game in windowed mode, and when game starts, press “Alt+Enter”
Reboot the system and try launching the game again

10. Just Cause 2 freezes on black screen every time you play using Nvidia graphics drivers

Roll back the graphics update to the older version and this should work perfectly.

If this doesnt work, then use this fix:

Shut steam down.
Navigate to C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamapps
Search for the file just cause2 main.ncf and delete it
Start Steam then it will say install instead of play. This will reinstall the main.ncf file.
Try running the game again.

10. Bad game graphics on Just Cause 2

The easiest fix for bad game graphics is constantly verifying your game cache files on Steam. Also try to reduce the resolution. Game will run smoothly.

Nothing here helped me.... once I press new game and select casual. It stays on th loading then whole screen goes white and it says "Just cause has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working properly. etc then I click close program since is the only thing I can do.
