Wondering exactly how to manage faction missions...

Potentially a confusing question so I'll start with the hypothetical first.

Say there are 45 Faction Missions total (just for easy math's sake).
Is it dividied evenly (in this scenario, 15 - 15 - 15) between the three Factions?
Or does the game actually let you choose one faction and do all 45 missions for them?

I only ask because I love doing side content, and it is convenient to do the missions closest to me when I load the game regardless of which faction they are. But I almost want to try playing for just one faction, and I wasn't sure if it's even possible to do missions/take over the whole island with one faction or if you basically have to play all of them to experience all of the content.

I hope some or all of that makes sense.

EDIT: I just realized another question I had, which might be even clearer...
Say Faction A has a Stronghold mission to take over Tulu Airport.
Does Faction B ever get that Stronghold Takeover mission to take over Tulu Airport, or is it specific to Faction A?

Just do the damn missions and there are 49 of them.

Can't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure you can do all the faction missions in one playthrough. As you may have noticed, each faction controls different parts of Panau, and it will stay like that (one will not take over the whole island).
And a tiny spoiler, at some point in the main story you will have to choose one faction to help you.
