how to fly a plane?

so so far ive been crashing every plane as soon as i take off.

I hold shift to throttle and w to look up. am i doing something wrong?

use your mouse and not WASD, btw the controls are inverted so looking down will make you fly up

use a controller if you have one, makes it much more enjoyable

for me, helicopters use mouse, planes use WASD, but S is up and W is down.
