"Updating Executable" Error Fix

I created this post for those who speak English and are still looking for the definitive fix for Just Cause 2, as the "updating executable" bug still appears to this day, and there are too many people who need it. They just need to click on this link.

Just add this file to the game's local data, and it should run without any issues. :)
This post already existed before, but I had only shared it here in Spanish. So, I created another one in English for those who don’t speak my language. This way, you can easily find both posts here to install it and understand everything better.

He decidido eliminar el link ya que las personas están robando la solución y diciendo que ellos la encontraron como si fuese propia, cuando fui yo quien les intentó dar la solución al juego y con esfuerzo busque la manera de que les abriera a todos, no me agrada que la gente quiera tomar crédito de lo que hacen otros así que decidí dar de baja el link, si quieren uno nuevo funcional, manden solicitud y me saje al priv y les envío el fix para que puedan jugar tranquilamente :)

He actualizado el link asi pueden descargar el archivo sin mandarme mensaje por si no quieren hacerlo, pueden descargarlo arriba y añadir el archivo a la carpeta del juego, con ello ya les deberia de abrir el juego sin problemas :)

Aqui la version en español del Post para los que hablen español, es la mas antigua :)

Thanks a ton, Omar. I know the .exe you offer is clean, but it's not the GOG version as the file sizes don't match. So, out of curiosity, where'd yours come from?

OK, I can 100% confirm that all you have to do is to disable ALL DLCs first, then try launching the game. It will take its sweet time showing you "updating executable", but eventually it will push through and you will be able to launch the game. I just played 58min on my Steam Deck at 60 plus FPS. The game runs at native resolution, it displays Xbox controller promps and runs without any issues that I could spot so far. I just enabled all DLCs again and launched the game. The game launches with ZERO problems now, after initial launch with DLCs disabled. The game WITH DLCs enabled loaded my last checkpoint and works perfectly fine.
