achievements not unlocking

To preface, the game's issue of updating executable from the recent update seems to only have one fix that worked for me, that being finding an alternate executable and some dll files to get it running. Tried verifying integrity, tried getting the specific jun 2010 directX update, tried running in compatibility modes.
The issue is now steam is entirely ignoring my progress in the game and not unlocking any achievements, I presume due to the way I fixed my issue though I have no way of confirming this since the game won't run any other way. Any advice on the matter would be appreciated. Game devs and valve seem thoroughly disinterested to address any issues.

Hi there. The last time I played this game was in 2021. At that time I had completed about 90 sabotages. Today I played a while and the sabotages number went over 100, but the "complete 100 sabotages" achievement won't be unlocked.

Is this the same thing you were talking about? I am so anxious now.

Possibly though the conditions for the achievements breaking may be different. I had to modify my game's files to get it to run at all, I presume that caused the achievements to stop working. If you did that too, that's probably what caused it. If you didn't then either the achievements breaking is unrelated to file changes or we have different versions of the same problem.

Thanks for your reply. I kind of forget did I modify the game files or not, but four years ago I did get 10 achievements successfully. I actually made another post in this forum, and specifically explained my situation.

Do you think this is a common problem of this game with Steam version?

I really love this game and I am sure I can play it on Steam for hundreds of hours. At the same time, of course I am willing to get all achievements of this game, but if some achievements won’t be popped up, then that would be a nightmare of me.

You got me worried now... Started going for the 100% and so far the game runs fine without modifying anything. All achievements are unlocking.

Hi. I understand your feelings very much. I got so anxious that I found my "Complete 100 Sabotages" won't unlock when I reached the number 100. However, I found a post in this forum from 2013 saying that this "100" needed me to complete "150".

I have not reached 150 yet, but I think maybe this is the only bugged one in the whole achievements? I think you can still pursue 100% of achievements and enjoy the game! Don't worry, and I hope you have fun!

It's indeed unlocked when reaching "150" but not "100".
